Celebrating and exploring the art of songwriting in community. Sisters Songworks is an intimate and intensive virtual writing retreat celebrating and exploring the art of songwriting in community. The weekend workshop will bring in noted songwriters and poets, facilitated by Beth Wood among other instructors to delve into the magic of songwriting. Sisters Songworks is an opportunity to learn from professional singer-songwriters, connect with others who share a love of songwriting and poetry, share your work in a non-performance focused setting, and engage in creativity in a supportive environment.
Friday: 7-9 pm — Introductions, group writing, concert by instructors
Saturday: 9-9:30 Gather, morning poem/song, instructor shares songs/poem
9:30-10:45 – master class (all participants)
11-noon – workshop #1 (we break out into 2 groups)
Noon-1:30 – lunch break
1:30-2:30 – workshop #2 (groups swap)
2:45-3:45 – workshop #3 (break out into 2 groups)
4-7 pm – Free time / dinner break
6:30-7 pm – Optional “happy hour” time for visiting/socializing
7-9 pm – Song circle
Sunday: 10-10:30 Gather, morning poem/song
10:30-11:30 – workshop #1 (break out into 2 groups)
11:45 – Q & A/Open Discussion
Each weekend can accommodate a maximum of 22 participants, divided into smaller groups for workshop sessions.
Each weekend retreat will include small group workshops, master class, a song circle, opportunities for sharing, an instructor concert, Q & A with instructors, time for reflection, and plenty of stretch/dance party breaks to keep our blood flowing.

Cost is $175. Because this is a virtual event, refunds will not be given. Enrollment may be transferred by the purchaser.
