October news and Southeast shows!

Hey folks, here’s my Oct newsletter… hope you enjoy!

I also wanted to tell you about my southeast dates coming up…I am SO thrilled to return to the ol’ stompin grounds.  Y’all come see me, ya hear??

Wed, Oct 10 – Tayler-Brawner Park – Smyrna, GA.  Join us for “Pat on the Porch” – a very special concert at Taylor-Brawner Park. Pat Terry and friends, James Casto and Beth Wood will entertain and touch your heart strings. And, you can bring food items and other donations to fill the MUST Ministries donation barrels that will be at the Park. (See list of items at the bottom this event listing.) General admission lawn seating is free. A limited number of special reserved tables with meal and service options are available until they are all booked. Funds raised through the extra special table reservation/food service options are helping raise funds for MUST Ministries. Wine sales for the evening – open to the general public (with proper ID of course) – will also help raise funds. To make your reservation, go to http://goo.gl/gKrTP. Confirmed reservations include the items you have selected and parking as stated in each available option. (In the event of a weather cancellation – and we hope that does not happen – your table reservation will be honored with indoor seating.) Did you know that MUST gives out 10 barrels (2,000 lbs.) of food or 2,500 canned items every day to feed the hungry in Cobb and Cherokee counties? There will be six barrels at Taylor-Brawner Park during the concert. Food Items Currently in Short Supply: Jelly, canned tuna, boxed dinners, peanut butter, coffee, canned meats, beef stew, pancake mix, canned green peas, canned/dry milk, canned pastas, dry beans, canned fruit, dry potatoes, canned baked beans/pork & beans, sugar, tea, macaroni & Cheese, flavored rice, flavored pasta, chili, spaghetti sauce, oatmeal/grits, bread/muffin mix. Grocery gift cards are also accepted in the event that you are unable to shop for these items. Thank you!  8 pm.

Thurs, Oct 11 – The Casbah – Durham, NC.  1007 W. Main St, 27701.  919.687.6969 A very special evening with David LamotteChris Rosser and BW!!! $15. 18+ or all ages w/adult. ***IMPORTANT: Casbah is a private club per NC state law (since we sell liquor, but don’t sell food), which means that membership ($3/lifetime) is required for entry. The fee is one-time only and is in addition to the ticket price. You may fill out a membership application at the door or bring a completed membership form. Members may sign in up to 2 guests per night once they have been members for 24 hours. Something else to know: we are cash only at the door, however the bar takes credit cards. 8 pm.  We’re gonna rock the Casbah…there, I said it!

Fri, Oct 12 – Eddie’s Attic – Decatur, GA. 515 B N. McDonough. 404-377-4976. The south’s finest listening room!  Special show with Chris Rosser and David Lamotte!! Please note this is an early show… 7 pm downbeat.

Sat, Oct 13 – The Crimson Moon Cafe – Dahlonega, GA.  24 North Park St.  706-864-3982. Special show with David LamotteChris Rosser. Tickets and/or Reservations can be made by calling 706-864-3982. If you must leave a message please leave your name and number and let us know you’d like tickets, we may be very busy serving our restaurant customers:) $17 in advance/$20 day of show.  8 pm.

Sun, Oct 14 – The Rooster’s Wife – Aberdeen, NC.  114 Knight St. The Rooster’s Wife is a private non-profit association organized to celebrate the performing arts in Aberdeen, North Carolina. We produce events year round, rain or shine. This is a listening house, folks. Absolutely no crowing during the shows. Concert hotline: (910) 944-7502, or email theroosterswife [AT] yahoo.com. Adam Ezra opens. $10 in advance/$14 day of show.

10/18 – European Street Cafe – Jacksonville, FL.  1704 San Marco Blvd.  904-399-1740.  BW returns to one of her favorite listening rooms!  Get here early and eat a sandwich that’s bigger than yo face!  $15.  8 pm.

10/19 – UU Coffeehouse Concert Series – Columbia, SC. 2701 Heyward Ave.Concert series held at the UU Church of Columbia. Reserve your tickets through the UUFC Events Line: (888) 849-4224 extension 4 (Leave your name and the number of tickets you need, and pay at the door). Adults $15 at the door/$13 adv reservations; Students $7/$5 adv.

10/20 — ??? — Charleston, Greenville, Savannah, your house?

10/21 – White Horse Black Mountain – Black Mountain, NC. 105C Montreat Rd. White Horse Black Mountain is a 4000 sq. ft. music and arts venue in beautiful, historic, downtown Black Mountain, NC, in the midst of the spectacular Western North Carolina mountains. Founders/managers Bob Hinkle and Kim Hughes have renovated the old Chevrolet dealership into a great place to see and hear music & arts, have a drink and relax. BW will be sharing the stage with Jimmy LandryChris Rosser! $12. 7 pm.
