New Album Coming Out This Month! Plus…August newsy news!
Hello, friends and fellow music lovers! I hope you are staying cool out there and finding time to play. There is a lot going on here at BW world headquarters, so here goes!
I’m releasing a new album on August 30, WOOP! And I’ll be releasing three singles from that album as we lead up to the release date. Aaaand I’ve got some wonderful events coming up, too. More about all this below…
GRATITUDE: Large heaps of gratitude to these wonderful folks who have made my life more delicious…Jeff & Norm and all at Becker Canyon Driveway concerts, Oregon Poetry Association, DJ Jim & Jive Radio & Cascades Radio Hour and High Desert Music Hall and Dennis McGregor, Don & Wendy & Adrianne & Ronnie & all the wonderful staff and people at Lange Winery.
THE BIG NEWS: A new album coming out Aug 30, woop!! Y’all, I am SO EXCITED to share LOVE IS ONTO YOU with you. I recorded these songs with just me and a guitar here in Sisters at Keith Banning’s studio (thank you, Keith!) as acoustic offerings for my patrons. Then I asked my extremely talented friend and collaborator Tyler Fortier to add some sparkle to these songs. We asked a few musicians (Milo Fultz, Nate Barnes, David Jacobs-Strain and Phillipe Bronchtein) to help us out by recording their parts remotely, and then Tyler sifted through the magic to create the album LOVE IS ONTO YOU. We were never in the same room, let alone zip code, and that speaks to our history of trust. I am so blown away by what these amazing musicians created!
SO…LOVE IS ONTO YOU will be available on all the usual platforms for streaming and downloading and purchasing on August 30. However, I have the CDs in my hands right now! So if you would like a CD, I would love to send you one!
ALBUM PRE-SALE: For a new CD, please send $20 via PayPal or Venmo (@bethwoodmusic, last 4 digits are 0595). Be sure to include your mailing address. And if you would like to buy the download directly from me, I’d be happy to send you the files! Please send $10 via via PayPal or Venmo. Holler at me at bethwoodmusic@hotmail.com if you have any questions?
I’m offering this new album free to patrons in whatever format they choose! So if you’re curious about Patreon (a subscription to my music and poetry), now’s a good time to check it out and sign up, and I’ll send the the album as a bonus!
Here is the gorgeous artwork for the front and back covers! Front photo by Dennis McGregor and back photo by Brent McGregor and Kara Mickaelsen.

SOME RANDOM PICS
My favorite practice spot…
This is what Hannah thinks of summer…
Well, we didn’t get any pics from our Cascades Radio Hour show at High Desert Music Hall, but we did get to do a photo shoot with the amazing Heaven McArthur! Love these shots…
And I love these pics of Hannah Laroo! Guess what, y’all? Aug 21 will be our first anniversary of the day I brought her home! She has brought me so much joy and laughter and companionship and comfort, and I am SO grateful for this little character!
Friends, I have to say I am overwhelmed with gratitude to still be able to make music and share it with you and to be a part of these amazing concerts and workshops. The music business has always been a mystery to me, and quite frankly it has chafed against my skin like an ill-fitting pair of burlap pants. 🙂 The pandemic allowed me to shift my thinking and my approach, and I’m doing things on my own terms now. I feel like the luckiest woman in the world to have this direct connection with you through music. I hope to nurture that connection for many years to come!
With big heaps of gratitude,
b
