March newsy update!

Hello, friends and fellow music lovers! (and thank you, Norm Eder for this photo!)

Spring is right around the corner, and there are lots of good things happening here. Meanwhile, these are anxious times for all. I pray for peace, and I will continue to write and sing against the darkness…it’s what I know how to do, and I believe in it with my whole heart.

Firstly, I want to thank everyone who tuned in to my Joyful Measures Livestream concert with the wonderful RJ Cowdery! And thank you to everyone who sent in donations. We felt like we were all in the same living room joying an intimate concert together. We appreciate your generosity so much! If you missed it, you can watch it here!

And friends, the BIG NEWS IS… I am SO EXCITED to be playing a concert onSaturday, March 12 at The Belfry LIVE in person and in 3D right here in my hometown with the Jenner Fox band! It has been so long I can barely remember how to do this, but I’m ready to try! If you are anywhere Sisters or Central Oregon, I hope you’ll join us on March 12 at The Belfry, an old church converted into a venue and sacred space for music. I moved here two years ago and I have not yet played an indoor show. I’m nervous and over the moon excited. I’ve got new songs coming out my ears that I can’t wait to share. I hope you’ll join us! the show will be seated with refreshments available in the bar. 302 E Main Ave, Sisters, OR. 7 pm doors/7:30 music. $20. Tickets available here.

I’ve got a few spots left for my virtual song circle on Wed, March 9. Song circles are a wonderful opportunity to share your songs in a supportive environment. Holler at me at if you’d like to join us!

And I also have a couple spots left for my Virtual Feedback Song Salon on Tues, March 29. Feedback Song Salons are small virtual gatherings where songwriters can share new work and receive thoughtful feedback from fellow songwriters and from me. We will cap the number at 6 so that each songwriter will have ample time to play and receive feedback. Cost is sliding scale of $10-$25…pay what you can – no judgment! Please email me at to reserve your spot.

I am so THRILLED to be leading Songs Forever! – a 6-week songwriting workshop starting March 7! This class is full, and I am so grateful to all of you who signed up for believing in me and investing in your creativity. I can’t wait to go on this song voyage with you! If you’d like to be on the email list for future workshops, please holler at me at

And finally, this month we are celebrating the one-year anniversary of our launch of the She’s Speaking project. When we started She’s Speaking, we reached out to women musicians we love and asked them to write a song about women who inspire them. We were completely blown away by the result! Over 60 original songs and videos, a super fun livestream launch party, several livestream concerts and a live concert later, we’re still going strong and still working to amplify women’s voices and create spaces where women’s stories and artistry can be heard by all people! On March 8, International Women’s Day, we are going to premiere a short video featuring an overview of the project’s mission and goals and live footage from our She’s Speaking Live concert in Portland this past November! We are also launching a new website here. We hope you’ll join us to celebrate International Women’s Day and our one year anniversary of She’s Speaking! Tune in here on March 8 at 7 pm Pacific time to watch and visit with us in the chat!

And if you haven’t already done so, please follow us Facebook and Instagram and subscribe to our YouTube channel to keep up with the lastest updates! (Here we are after our roof-raising concert at The Alberta Rose in November! We can’t wait to do more!)

And finally, if you’d like to stay up to date with my new work, I hope you’ll consider joining me here on Patreon, where I release a new song and new poem every month. You can join for as little as $1 a month!

I am so grateful — now more than ever — for this life centered around following the winding path of creativity. Thank you for supporting me along the way! I hope I can sing for you or share poems with you soon. And I hope you are finding ways to nurture your spirit in these trying times. Yours in gratitude and song,

Beth Wood
