1. GRATITUDE…My heart is so full. Thank you to all these wonderful folks for making May so insanely awesome (and the best birthday month ever!!)…Eric Alan and KLCC, Anna Tivel, Austin Nevins, Milo Fultz, Alberta St Pub and Tsunami Books, Dave and all at Two Way Street Coffeehouse, Lee & Cindy Herman and Windy City House Concerts, Rich Warren and all at Folkstage, the very generous Matthew Blackmon, Bill & Gail Valenti, Tower Theater and Soldier Songs, Cris & Annette and the Bottom Line team and all at the Big Bay house concert, Harmony for Mayo, and John Felty and the Felty family and all at the White Squirrel Festival!
2. THE NEWS…well I’ve been waiting so long to tell you this HUGE AND AMAZING NEWS…I have been invited to play on CAYAMO 2017!! It is Cayamo’s 10th anniversary and I could not be happier that I get to celebrate with this wonderful community of folks. Cayamo is a week-long floating songwriter festival and caribbean cruise that is filled with magical moments. I was so honored to be a part of the first Cayamo and I am so honored to be returning! It is a pinch-me lineup so far (Emmylou Harris, Patty Griffin, Brandi Carlisle, Buddy Miller, Richard Thompson, Rodney Crowell, Kacy Musgroves, Shawn Mullins, Steve Earl, Paul Thorn, and more!) and Andy and crew will continue adding artists all year long. Sailing from Tampa to Cozumel and Roatan, Honduras! For more info, check out theCayamo website. WOOP!!

In other news, the new acoustic CD “Spring Tide” is making its way into the world slowly but surely. Thank you to all who have shown their support, and thank you for all the wonderful feedback you have been sending my way. It seems like lots of folks are connecting with the quiet, stripped-down versions of these songs, and that makes me so happy. The CD release parties with Anna Tivel were an absolute dream. A special highlight was having Milo Fultz sit in on upright bass for a few tunes in Portland. I hope Milo and I can do more collaborating soon! My buddy Erik Balkey is working on our folk radio campaign for “Spring Tide”. I hope it continues to resonate out there in the world! I will keep you posted on when it is available on iTunes/Amazon/CDbaby, etc. In the mean time, you can always get your copy here.
There are still a few spots left at two really wonderful events in July. On July 16, I will be co-leading a workshop with the great RJ Cowdery called Nature, Women and Song at Stillpoint. Details are here. And there are a few spots left for the second Hidden River Songwriting Camp in Long Beach, WA in July! I am thrilled to be co-hosting this camp with the great Matt Meighan. We will explore our creativity together and have lots of downtime in this beautiful setting to write on our own. Check it out here!
