Greetings, friends and fellow music lovers! All the flowers in Portland are exploding right now and taking my breath away! I hope you’re enjoying this late spring wherever you are.

1. GRATITUDE…May seems like a blur now and I have so many to thank for the good times! Special thanks to Keith and Leslie Flanders and friends, Pat Crawford and all at RadioLive and WUWF, Robert and Dianne Calmes and friends, Jeff and Jeff and the Microsoft Build Conference, Peter Mulvey, Adam and Joe and all at Alberta Rose Theatre, Scott and all at Tsunami Books, Paul and all at the Coastal Community Festival.

2. THE NEWS…

Update for my new CD – THE LONG ROAD: My mom and I are working feverishly to get packages ready to go out to my Kickstarter peeps! It has been so fun having her here and thank goodness because she is so organized. There was a little glitch at the printer so they are having to reprint the artwork for the CDs. That will set us back a week or two but we will press onward. I am so thankful for all the people who stepped forward and contributed to this album! The “Official” release of the new album will take place some time in the fall. My management team and I have been working really hard behind the scenes to develop a strategy for the official launch. Stay tuned for that!

Ara Lee and I are working like crazy to get ready to record our duo album on June 7! We’ve been writing and harmonizing and organizing and giggling and learning parts and working with Steven Skolnik on percussion. This weekend we will meet with our producer Steven Tracy to make a plan! Rumor has it Anna Tivel is going to grace us with some mad fiddle licks. I am over-the-moon excited and can’t wait to get started!

Oh what fun it was to share the stage with Peter Mulvey! We sang some harmonies and Peter played some super creepy guitar on my set in Eugene… it was unreal!  Here’s a video of us singing a beautiful Madeleine Peyroux tune together. I hope we can collaborate more in the future!

3. JUNE SHOWS (and one July show!)… Life is so uncertain, please call ahead!

Fri, June 15 – Eurosports – Sisters, OR. 223 E. Hood Ave. 541-549-2471. BW returns to the beautiful Eurosports food cart and beer garden patio FREE and donations are encouraged. Music from 5-7 pm.

Fri, June 29 – Private Event – Denver, CO.

Sat, June 30 – Backyard Concert – Colorado Springs, CO. The tradition continues in the Pederson backyard!! Please join us for an evening with BW and Tom Faulkner in the Pederson family’s beautiful, friendly backyard with potluck, music, friends and community. 943 Tari Drive. Bring a chairs or a blanket, BYOB and optionally a potluck dish to share. $20 suggested donation. Sun, July 1 – Big River Music – Creede, CO. 117 N Main St. 719-658-2100. BW is thrilled to return to Creede’s favorite music shop and listening room venue with the great Bob Hemenger! $10. 7 pm.

Oh what fun we had at RadioLive in Pensacola! This is one of my favorite places to play and it’s the only concert series I know of that has a yellow trolley car in it. 🙂

What a wonderful southeast tour it was! This place was next to my hotel on the last night of the tour…guess I did!

Mama Ann came to visit me and help me with my Kickstarter rewards! Here we are creating thumbdrives and yes, that is us putting a bird on it. 🙂
