here you are, and I’m late to the party!

Greetings, friends and fellow music lovers!

I am just on the heels of a wonderful vacation to Switzerland and Ireland, and my heart is bursting with gratitude for all the new experiences and for the generosity of new friends and old. I know I am late getting this out…and I’m still getting my head back into the game…so I’ll just send a quick note here. I hope your summer is bursting with sunshine and berries, and I hope to see you soon! Here’s what’s happening this month…

GRATITUDE…BIG, special thanks to all these fine folks who made June so wonderful: Jen & Scott Smith, Wyatt Eastering, Annie, and everyone at Wood & Stone Songwriting retreat; to Tom Faulkner and Susan Gibson and all at the Allen Theater; to David Stoddard and to Phil & Melissa Granchi, Don & Gigi Koebek, Ross & Jean Goodrich, and John Cook & Kathy Minton and all who attended our house concerts…it was a great mini-tour! And special thanks to Ocea, Violet & Jett and our gracious hosts in Switzerland Heidi & Teo, and Noelle & Daniel, and to Steve & Lori and family/friends and Michael for an amazing time in Ireland!

THE NEWS…There is still room for more at our Women, Nature and Song Workshop next weekend! Here is the info…it will be an inspiring time among friends in a gorgeous setting…here’s the scoop:


Also, don’t forget about the greatness that is CAYAMO, the week-long songwriters’ cruise happening Feb 19-26, 2017! I am still pinching myself that I get to play among this incredible line-up!! It is truly a magical experience, one not to be missed! You can still get on the waiting list here

 The new album “Spring Tide” is making little waves out there in the world. My buddy Erik Balkey is helping me get it out to the great folk radio DJs who still choose their own music and spin independent artists week in and week out! July 15 – Sisters Folk Festival Presents: Concerts in the Park – Sisters, OR. Sisters Folk Festival is proud to offer “SFF PRESENTS,” additional off-season music events and concerts! Fir Street Park. FREE and open to all! With the great RJ Cowdery. 7 pm. 

July 16 – Women, Nature and Song Workshop – Veneta, OR. Nature, Women and Song is a songwriting workshop for women at Stillpoint Farm in Veneta. The workshop facilitators will be Beth Wood and Rj Cowdery. It will be hosted at a Yurt surrounded by beautiful trees and a delicous lunch will be served. Sliding scalte $55-$75. To reserve your space, call Kathy at 541-968-1999 or kathy@kathymarshallmusic.com. 10:30 am -5 pm.

July 16 – Stillpoint Farm House Concert – Veneta, OR. Join us for a house concert at beautiful Stillpoint Farm! With the great RJ Cowdery. $15-$20 suggested donation. To reserve a seat, please or email Kathy at 541-968-1999 or kathy@kathymarshallmusic.com. All are welcome! 7 pm.

THE FUTURE…I can’t wait for some Colorado time in August and September! Soon I will be adding the new album “Spring Tide” to CDbaby, iTunes, Amazon, etc, so stay tuned for that. And Renee and I are working on what 2017’s tour calendar will look like. It will be my 20th year as a full-time touring artist…woohoo! I could not have done any of it without you!
