Here’s the June/July Newsy News!

Spring is in full bloom around here, although we’re still having some chilly days and nights! I’m grateful for mother nature and her vibrant colors and hopeful signs of blooming. As we head into summer, I wanted to check in and give you a few updates. Here’s the quick low-down of what’s happening right now, and I hope you’ll scroll down for more details…
–I am loving life here in Sisters! The small-town vibe really suits me, and it reminds me of another beloved town I once called home…Brevard, NC. And my folks moved here to central Oregon, woop!
–Last year I started a part-time job at our local independent bookstore, Paulina Springs Books. It’s awesome! I’m so excited that my role at the bookstore will be expanding to include coordinating in-store events!
–I’m not planning tours at this time, and I will still be playing shows when it feels delicious and wonderful! I’ve got some deliciously wonderful shows coming up!
–I am loving teaching/coaching, and I’ve got a few fun workshoppy things coming up this summer!
—Patreon is still the best way to stay in touch, hear my new work, and support my art! (For example I just shared a video of me reading a poem about getting criticism for using too many exclamation points. Can you imagine?!! haha)
–I’ll be releasing a new album soon! It will be my 14th album, WHAAAAAAT?! Can you believe it, y’all? All patrons will get the new album in their preferred format before anyone else!
–Hannah is still insanely cute, and she graduated from Basic Companionship class! We discovered her middle name and it’s ‘Laroo’.

(And thank you, Norm Eder for the awesome photo up at the top of the page! This was taken as part of a project called “The Every Artist Has a Story Project” sponsored by The Jeremy Wilson Foundation… more on that fun project coming soon!)

Y’all I’m so excited to be releasing my 14th album soon! Can you believe it?! This has been a labor of love and of spiritual necessity facilitated by the very talented producer Tyler Fortier. The album is called “Love Is Onto You” and I am so proud of this work we did together. Stay tuned for release details! I’ll be making a few hundred CDs for folks who like to listen that way. Here are the front and back covers.

And here is a little taste… a preview of the title track. Click here to listen!
And last but not least, I hope you’ll consider joining my Patreon community! You can become a patron for as little as $1/month (or for as much as you like!) You can even get a 10% discount if you subscribe for a year all at once. For about the cost of an album dowload, you get boatloads of new, unreleased works and first listen/glance on everything I do! I send patrons one new song and one new poem every month, and it has pushed me to be more creative than I’ve ever been. I hope you’ll consider this option especially if you primarily use streaming for listening to music. Streaming pays artists fractions of a penny per stream, so Patreon is a great way to support artists alongside enjoying the ease and convenience of streaming!
I’m working on a little video to celebrate my two year Patreon journey. Stay tuned for that!
Gratitude…Special thank you to Julie & Gordon, Mark & Melanie, and everyone who came out to our barn concert/benefit for World Central Kitchen!! Dennis and I played music and many local artists donated art for auction. We raised $2,700 for this amazing organization that is providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises in Ukraine and beyond. THANK YOU to our wonderful community for coming together for this event!

And thank you to Lane and Paulina Springs Books for inviting us to help celebrate the 30th anniversary of the bookstore! Even though it was cold and rainy, we had a great time. Check out our littlest fan, ha!

Thanks so much for staying in touch — as always I love hearing from you!
May we take good care of ourselves and each other and celebrate moments of joy large and small. I am so grateful to be here making music and poetry, and I hope to connect with you soon!
Yours in gratitude and in song,
Beth Wood
